In Melao Bakery lives a small piece of history and melancholy with the name of “Melao”. Located in the North coast of Puerto Rico is the beautiful municipality of Vega Baja, well-known city of “Melao”, which means sweet. This sweet name is in reference to the first modern power station build in 1873, that used to produce the sweetest cane of the Island.
Melao Bakery’s mission is to celebrate the Hispanic heritage through great food! We believe in extending our culture roots with others of diverse backgrounds, in which all can unite and become involved with our community as a whole.
Our purpose is “To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Melao Bakery."
